brillig

Hubby often gets calls from the hospital after largeish procedures--MRIs, cardiac ablations, mysterious intestinal blockages, the like.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, I haven't yet. I liked the book but I don't remember it in great detail, which often makes for a pretty good movie adaptation experience, ime. But the DVR is getting full and that takes priority for my currently minuscule leisure time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I get a lot of calls after hospital admissions, all designed to get my GP into the game, and it's freaking tedious to tell them he doesn't care, and I have specialists on the case. But better reaching out than not, I guess.

Well, finished my tea and still nothing for me to do (I'm not complaining, btw, it's just I have time and internet access to blather at you guys and this is what I have to blather about at the moment). But I have a meeting in 15 minutes so I don't even feel like I ought to be looking for something to do.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Feel better, msbelle!

I don't think I've heard of anybody who has traveled in the last three months who hasn't gotten very sick during or immediately after.

Me!

I would like to thank Nora and the rest of the NOLA-related buffistas for helping my team to our second annual work spelling bee championship -- we won on krewe.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Alas, I have no pie.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I want pie. I had a very healthy salad for lunch, but now I'm hungry again.

I don't have time to make pie tonight, but I wonder if I should pick up a tart for book club...

Our wings are not tired

The air in the planes is actually rarely a vector for infection. It is pretty seriously scrubbed. The surfaces however are where the germs are. Don't use the tray table and wash your hands a lot.

Because books.

I have no pie. I do have cupcakes, though.

I could also use extra housing ~ma for reasons too depressing to outline.

I just realized that I stopped for a burger on the way home at a place that sells pie by the slice, and yet did not buy pie. Whoops. The low carb diet has won, apparently. Good burger, though!
