I think I left my brain at home. I've been wondering all morning why so many people brought in baked goods today. I just processed that they are PIES.

Librarian Warlord

I have no Djimon Hounsou and no pie!

I have passed from unfair into WOE.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Sparky, that is not just WOE, but WOAH! How could anyone not give you Djimon Hounsou OR pie?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Smell hallucinations are definitely a Thing. My aunt would get them, when she was having a TIA, especially the smell of gasoline which she hates. OTOH, it alerted her to Go See The Doctor Right Now.

Yeah, I was a little afraid someone would say something like that.

Not that Trudy should be worried about TIAs -- I think lack of sleep is enough to trigger something like that.

I think this too. I'm not really worried about my neurological health other than in the usual depression/anxiety way.

There's nothing in any description of synaesthesia I've ever read (including just doublechecking the wikipedia entry to see if I was totally off base) includes something so textbook evocative. Those experiences are crosswiring and not as initially clearly linked (although there are similarities between experiences from synaesthete to synaesthete).

Yes. This makes sense. I'm a little relieved that my brain has not somehow re-wired. If I want to taste Dark Side of the Moon I'll just have to drop acid like a normal person.

My cousin started in on me on Facebook about school vouchers in Indiana and how "non of his kids will attend public school"--meaning his three year old. He conveniently left out of the equation the grown daughter he had when he was 17 and got a 15 year old girl pregnant. A 15 year old daughter of Mexican immigrants who had his child on Medicaid and sent her to Head State and free public schools. But he HATES the Federal Government and all the TAXES.

I'm not sure I could control myself from replying to him in precisely those words. You are a better woman than I.

THIS IS SO MUCH COOLER THAN PHOTOSHOP COULD EVER BE. Assuming, of course, that those are "real" Beatles.

OK, so I'm pretty sure that I'm just hallucinating. Comforting. I have to say, its a little unfair that I'm experiencing things that aren't there and none of them are Djimon Hounsou.

I just impulse bought a share in a CSA for this summer. They have moved the drop off point to the building next door. I am not sure what I am going to do with enough vegetables for a family, but they do not do half shares. Maybe I will email the 1 other single lady at work and ask if she wants to share?

hip deep in pie

Ugh. I have been hit by the norovirus. I've lost 8 pounds since Tuesday night when this whole thing started. I've kept myself hydrated with ice cubes and I've had a few dry crackers and a few sips of milk this morning. The apple slice, however, was a bad idea.

Oh, no!
