Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Grace's cheese puff and sarameg's wise words have made me very happy.

I am also very tired. Dang it, why am I always so dang tired?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If the Beatles conspiracy site is a hoax, it's a very thorough one. I am desperate to know what goes on in the by-invitation-only "Advanced Research" forum.

I'm learning so much about the Tavistock Institute and the shadow government's mind control program! Not sure yet how it links up with the Illuminati and our alien reptile overlords, but I'm certain there are clues in the lyrics to "Octopus's Garden."

Oh well, I probably wasn't going to get very much done today anyway.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

That's where you find out the entire project is under the baleful direction of one Mick Jagger.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

What is hysterical to me is that they are comparing pictures of people who ARE CLEARLY THE SAME PERSON, and noting the differences! I mean, some people change a lot as they age, but Paul McCartney looks exactly the same!

Emissions passed! Apparently, that extra 65 miles was sufficient data....

I love imagined expertise. My favorite is from people who are frequently yelling about how fake an accent is when they really know nothing about accents and the actor (Glenn Quinn, Jane Leeves, et al) is actually from the country in question. Also people who think they can parse plastic surgery while never taking into account differences in makeup, lighting, or camera angles.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Woo hoo, sara! May the rest of the day proceed just as well.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I can generally spot when someone is faking an accent, but I'm not too good at identifying what accents are. There's just something a little bit weird about how people form sounds when they're thinking about the sound rather than the word. Maybe it's because I was in speech therapy for a long time as a kid, so I started paying a lot of attention to how people make different sounds. When Glenn Quinn was on Roseanne when I was a kid, I immediately said, "That's not his real accent." Hugh Laurie, though, didn't ping me at all.

Unrelatedly, I think I've decided that I'm going to France for three weeks this summer. It'll be tight but doable on my budget, and I figure I'd rather spend the money on something fun than just have it sitting there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ahhhh. Made it home at like 1:30 last night, after our flight was delayed an hour and then my mother backed into a car in the parking lot, directly in front of a parking lot employee, so that was fun. But seriously, everyone else was responsible for it -- the car was parked in the illegal row next to the actual rows and the parking lot guy had his flashing lights on, blinding my mother.

But Puerto Rico was super fun! And I have a ridiculous sunburn on my chest, because I am an asshole.
