That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

feminism is responsible for homosexuality, because the more women act like men, the more men are likely to want to have sex with other men.

... that's insane troll logic.

So Dad called me at 10:30 last night, and said that he can't move Mom without assistance anymore. Which I knew, having seen them on Sunday, but apparently she'd gotten worse just in the last 24 hours.

Happily, I had already been talking to the facility staff to plan what we need to do. And Dad has a button to push to get help when he needs it, while we figure that out.

But I was up all night anyway, laying awake and periodically listening to an audiobook on theology, which usually does a great job of knocking me out. Not last night, though. Argh.

Doesn't anyone think about the lesbians?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Doesn't anyone think about the lesbians?

The Bible doesn't mention lesbians. Besides, lesbians are just trying to be men, which is wrong but understandable, as men are better than women. But gay men want to be women, which just... calls the whole stupid thing into question.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I just think "Comic Sans was never meant to by a typeface, I was just so horrified that KIDS might be reading TIMES NEW ROMAN!!!!" is a stupid fucking thing to say.

But that's not what he said. I mean, I agree with him that TNR looks APPALLING in a thought bubble. Not because kids shouldn't be reading in Times New Roman, but because Times New Roman does not belong in that context.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

feminism is responsible for homosexuality, because the more women act like men, the more men are likely to want to have sex with other men.

So... if more men dress up like women, will that make more women want to have sex with women?

Because books.

I read the piece about the papal candidate out loud and my (very young) boss asked in confusion, "I thought the church was trying to be more progressive?" Uh, no.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So... if more men dress up like women, will that make more women want to have sex with women?

My sample of 1 is...inconclusive.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good one, erika! Popes, man.

Good luck, as always, Consuela.

I wish to report that I feel very put together today: black patent flats, black tights, plaid shift (that has been too tight since I bought it but today fir perfectly), and pink fuzzy cardigan. I went with a pink purse to match the sweater, which I am now second guessing.

BUt I left my lunch on the kitchen counter. Fortunately, that is only 5 minutes from work.

I brought lunch in, forgetting that we get free lunch if I go to the micro-manager's retirement.
