Aw, crud. My mother has a meeting tomorrow afternoon, so I thought my father and I could go to the art museum, but it's closed Mondays. Argh! Must find new idea.

Ugh, the woman who offered on our house seems unlikely to come up to the number I can live with right now. (She's also the director of the homeless shelter in town, which makes me feel vaguely like I should settle for less, but damn it, we are already taking a small bath on this house and I am not emotionally ready to come down more.)
I am still not emotionally ready to have left Athens, goddamnit.
I took a 4 hour accidental nap this afternoon. Missed my window of time to hit Costco today but did get in a grocery run. And now I'm ready to go back to sleep. Pathetic. I should probably eat something. I've only had dried pineapple and chocolate.
The garage is now more or less empty. We recycled enough cardboard to single-handedly save the planet. After three days of cleaning, throwing stuff away, and packing, all I have the energy left to do is lie pathetically on the couch and think about crying. Unfortunately, I have to go to work tomorrow.
That's really impressive, Dana! I hope you can get some sleep tonight and work tomorrow isn't so bad.
Sorry, flea. The other day when shrift got the drunk dial from Athens, my first thought was, "was it flea? She probably speaks some Greek"
I think I will see if I can see the comet from my backyard in a few minutes. I don't have a good westward view, but I don't have the energy to go further afield. I believe I will have more chances to see it, although I understand tonight is going to be the brightest tail.

Awesome! I believe some of those good viewing nights will be easier for me to manage. Thanks!
Shoot, missed the comet. Well, I was working. And watching Wartime Farm.
Well, couldn't see anything, I think there are trees in the way from my patio. But my towels were finally dry, so that's taken care of. And I might actually have a better view of the correct spot from my bedroom window, I will check tomorrow's moon position.
Flea, her being director of a homeless shelter has nothing to do with the price she should pay for your home. If she offers a fair price, then you always have the option of donating a portion to the shelter. Or if someone else pays a fair price you could do that. If you don't feel obligated to donate cash (and you shouldn't) then there is no need to feel obligated to come down on price. Of course you already know this, but I'm hoping seeing it in writing will get the message to your subconscious and drive away the vague feeling.
