Yardwork done. In a tank top, no less! 2 bags and that was AFTER my neighbor did my sidewalk and steps. Oh, trees.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'm so freaking exhausted today. I want to go back to bed but I have crap to do.

The tournament was great, but we were there from 7am til 2:30 and I was walking around a great deal of the time. My knee wasn't happy with me. CJ got to help judge a few of the sparring rings, performed with his demo team (they took third) and then competed in kata. I have no idea how he didn't place in kata cause I though he looked great. Then we zoomed to K-Bug's place, traded cards and had our evening adventure.

CJ seems to be in the same state of exhaustion.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It's nice enough out here that I decided to open my bedroom window, which slides horizontally and has a screen, while I folded and put away laundry.

Bubba decided he wanted to see if he could fit between the window and the screen.

He can't.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK, I have fed the birds and watered the plants. The only other things I really want to try to get done today are the perpetual tasks, laundry and dishes. And feeding myself, but that should be easy.

Posting that here because I need to remind myself that the OMG SO MUCH TO DO feeling that keeps popping up is false.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I need to vacuum, and I'd better do it now, because it takes Spare Cat several hours to settle down and be calm enough to eat. The other cats don't like the vacuum either, but they just relocate. Spare Cat, on the other hand, has enough intelligence to remember that the vacuum was ON and it could therefore be ON again, unexpectedly, no matter where she goes.

I used to think a smart cat would be a good thing.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

One of our cats, Zorro, is very smart. He doesn't care when I pull the vacuum out, unlike the other animals, but he keeps his eye on me and knows to run away when he sees me plug it in.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Bubba decided he wanted to see if he could fit between the window and the screen.

Heh. Cats.

I'm at work. Today is just about being in the building during the shows. I finished my prep work for Tuesday during the show last night so I thought today I could try to get my receipts and stuff in order so I can start on taxes. Unfortunately, I forgot that I don't have Quicken on my new laptop. Sigh. What is the preferred banking software now?

information libertarian

Mint.com? It's web based. I actually don't like it as much as I liked Quicken, but it has the benefit of being free.

Quicken is still my preferred banking software. Mint.com doesn't know the credit union where I have my checking and savings accounts, so it is of limited usefulness to me.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Woot, the microwave is gone!

Anyone want a filing cabinet?
