For some reason, petit fours always seem disappointing to me. I love the idea (little tiny pretty cakes!) but most of the ones I've had don't end up tasting that good.

Oh yes. Petit fours are one of the joys of my life. I actually made them for a friend's baby shower once, too. That was quite an afternoon.
