Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

RICE - rest, ice, compression and elevation.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Luckily I can do most of that while I work, maybe not full elevation. Just need to come up with a plan for compression. Ace wraps just end up sliding and strangling around my knee. I also need to talk with my sensei to see what I can do there so I'm not completely falling behind on training, but not stressing the knee.

But I got a great raise. My boss is happy with my work. Two of my Project Managers were playfully fighting over who had priority on my time. I'm gonna go with that and call the day a success.

Because books.

I think it calls for cake, personally.

Thanks, Cass!

I have one like this [link] or this [link] that helps.

Mine is not as much with the total compression now because I've had it a really long time and washed it many dozens or hundreds of times, but it used to be good at compression too. Now it's more of a reminder that I should be careful when I do long walks or yoga. Especially yoga.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

And the rounds of Craigslist insanity begin.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got to spend the day looking up material related to ion exchange chromatography.

I still don't know what that means though.

I used to use Opcon A allergy eye drops and they helped a lot but weren't working as well as I'd wished because of crazy allergens. I tried Zaditor on the rec of a doctor and whoa. I don't get a full 12 hours from them but I get almost all day or a good night's sleep relief.

I know trees and dander and all of those things attack many of us, so sharing the yay.

edit: Oh and cheaper at CostCo (no script but at the pharmacy). I think I paid $11 yesterday so I could have a bottle in my purse before the wildflowers well and truly get their freaks on around me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ion exchange chromatography.

Sounds like technobabble from ST:NG.

"Reverse the polarity on the ion exchange. Adjust the chromatography to the valence of the Romulan shield."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

See, I was thinking an ion exchange was some sort of scifi key party.
