Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Figs. Fresh figs. What I wouldn't give to nom. I miss figs.

Grace - stop setting off alarms on purpose.

Go Franny!

The skin on my knee has finally healed, but it has been hurting all day. A dull throb when I'm not moving it. When I check range of motion, it hurts at both ends of the spectrum. I can stand and walk and all that, but if I lightly bump it against something I see stars. I know I banged it up pretty good, but it has been over 2 weeks now.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Theatrical Buffistas, I've been reading about Peggy Clark (Kelley) this evening. She was a friend of my grandparents in their retirement, apparently! Very interesting woman I would never have heard of if my father hadn't happened to mention her in passing.

Cool! She's not as well known as Tharon Musser but certainly an interesting lady.

You people are making me want avocados.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Figs. Fresh figs. What I wouldn't give to nom. I miss figs.

Black figs roasted with goat cheese and honey, drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. Wow, I really want figs to be back in season.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I like avocados, but they kind of don't like me back.

This doesn't stop me. Mostly because I tame their anger with Benedryl.

Looking like you belong at Hogwarts is a compliment.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mmmmmm. Now I want Tex-Mex food. While the Mediterranian diet is full of delicious things, it's woefully short on chips and guacamole.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am so in love with this pen [link] that I went to Amazon and submitted a review.

I use those at work!

Oh and this is probably bad, but: there was a bank robbery in my neighborhood (bad), but the suspect was apparently described as, and put in the police description as "orange". They later clarified they means "George Hamilton-esque", but still. My first thought was that an Oompa Loompa had robbed the bank!

That's really funny. "What was his skin color?" "Uh....orange?"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, I am very jealous of avocado and pomegranate trees.

Playing hooky. For values of 'hooky' in which I sneezed so much between 6 and 7 that I gave myself a headache. Ah well, I'll take the stupid drugs and go sit and wait for my car to get smogged. I need to remind myself where the nearest station is....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No idea on the robberies. Still not clear to me if they are burglaries or muggings.

sarameg, have you tried [link] ? It's kind of depressing me, but I don't have a baseline, so you may have to use TV and movies to decide what's a normal level of crime.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Here's something. February in Chicago had the lowest murder rate of any single month since like 1957. Of course, that was still 14 murders, so.
