Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, accidentally caught SMG on Letterman! She seems good. Her outfit's a little crazy, though. And her hair's too blonde, per me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What do blood transfusions have to do with doping?

Am I being obtuse?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

If you have the transfusions, you up your blood volume which ups your oxygen levels, which makes you better or something.

I think.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Athletes can take out their own red blood cells, store them for later and then inject it back in--resulting in more red blood cells and more oxygen delivery to the muscles. They call it blood doping, rather than PEDs.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Don't race horses receive blood doping too?

brillig

I thought some of his transfusions were in regard to his cancer treatments.

Pretty easy. DH had a high school baseball coach who taught some of the team members to do it.

Yikes, Cash.

I had super low blood count before my surgery six year ago -- I had to have a transfusion before they sliced and diced, and I tell you what, that shit pumped me up. Of course, I was totally weak and it brought me up to more or less normal. Still, it was pretty amazing. Blood. Good shit.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Beau and I literally spent 8 hours today resolving DMV matters

I had to go into the DMV to renew my license this year, because it's been 10 years, but I made an appointment, and the whole thing took me less than 15 minutes.

Of course, I got lost on the way there and drove around for almost an extra half hour and then sat in traffic for 45 minutes on the way back.
