A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I like my beef hot all the way through, and bloody. Too many cooks think rare is cold in the middle.

I do like tartare/carpaccio, though. And sushi, raw oysters and ceviche. I am a total cavewoman.

Mm, sushi. But I just got to my hotel and am ordering room service.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The garage attendant made the AAA guy, who had one leg and I push the car outside to change the tire, because there was "no auto repairs allowed in the garage."

Someone in authority should be informed of that choice just to see if they want to fire the guy. I'm not saying you should ask that he be fired, but the appropriate person should be informed so that they have that choice. And you might choose to judge them if they don't fire him.

Okay, by that I mean salty and without an undertone of bacon. Obviously.

I usually jazz up premade sauce by dicing up a slice or two of bacon and sauteeing until crisp, then adding the premade sauce on top of it and simmering for as long as it takes for the pasta to cook. Doesn't take any longer if you do it while waiting for the water to boil/pasta to cook and it improves the taste exponentially.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, I've never bought premade sauce before, so I wanted to know what it tasted like in the mean. When it actually gets put into the final meal I'm cooking, there will be many other ingredients.

Jilli, how do you feel about these? I'm entranced, but I don't know if I could wear them.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm with the raw beef crowd, although there's definitely a place for well cooked beef. That place is some sort of stew or pot roast.

I have not done any grading today, which is a bit of a mistake but oh well. There's always tomorrow, the grading will have to wait. I think getting to bed before midnight is a higher priority.

My father is all "You've been up working since 12:30? Oh, by the way, have you configured my laptop? Have you configured your sister's laptop? What about the network thingies?"

My sister is all "Have you mailed that stuff back to the vendor yet? Why aren't you calling every day? What's wrong with you?"

OMFG. Seriously. Just...seriously. I might have to work next weekend, and the weekend after that. Please don't. Just...don't. Some people get computers no one has configured. And they live long, healthy, and productive lives.

msbelle, oh I'm so sorry. What a bad stressy day.

We went to Huntington Gardens to see Santa. That was absurd. I was shocked at how much damage there was. One of the statues (an Urn that must be 4 feet in diameter) had been flipped upside down. yikes.

Okay, I have graded all of the online things, now I have one last paper set. This is possible right?

OMG, will someone get Pumpkin's digestive tract to be less noxious? Cat can clear a house. And we're on the good food.

Oh, how sad! I loved that month I spent working there.
