Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

Our wings are not tired.

Is there a bad reason yo buy a cookbook? My family seems to think I have an issue because I have such a large collection, and yet I almost always get my recipes on line The real issue is not enough bookshelves in the kitchen.

I broke out of my routine and got a chorizo empanada today. Oh man, so good.

I need to get a vid of the typical Loki/Pumpkin bathtub wrestling match. It starts out with face nuzzling, which turns into neck biting, then full body wrestling & thumping around the tub, with neither able to get any purchase. It's pretty funny. They're good for each other.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm going to Target later, but I might go join a world record attempt for carolers at noon first.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've also heard good things about the Vegan Planet cookbook, but I haven't really looked at it too much.

I've been cooking nearly every night from Appetite for Reduction lately, and everything I've tried from that has been both easy and delicious, but since it is a weight loss cookbook, it's probably a bit iffy as a present.

OK, much as I'd like to lie on the couch and nap, I think the decaf I got at the market was less de than caf (unsurprising, even doing their half-caf wires the fuck out of me) so I might as well go to Target and TJs. And then come back and clean. Possibly behind the radiator, since Pumpkin is acting like she dropped a toy behind there (this is the one radiator I've never cleaned behind. I'm afraid to.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Nova is going after the tub of catnip on Gary's desk. It is already covered in tooth marks, but has no holes. Silly critter...

Thanks Hil! I think Veganomicon sounds like a good bet.

Definitely no weight loss cookbooks for my brother - he's over 6 feet and wouldn't outweigh me soaking wet. (Apparently hogging all the allergies in the family also meant hogging all the metabolism. Bastard.)

Our wings are not tired.

Since you so easily lead me astray I went to the Barnes & Noble site to look at the Vegan cookbooks. The only reason I went to B&N was because I had noticed DH renewed the frequent buyer card (whatever it is called) a couple days ago. By habit I mostly buy books in real stores where I can handle them and if I do buy on line I tend to go to Amazon.

So, imagine my surprise when I saw WELCOME CHRISTINE at the top of the B&N page! Um, I go to my account settings have another person's name and address and a couple other people's credit cards. Also the only purchases this year are 6 totaling over $300 all on July 19th shipped to various places. They were not paid by my credit card, just using my on line id. Odd thing is that I apparently didn't get any email notice of the purchases either. I changed my password and wrote to customer service.

Woo hoo - presents accomplished for half the fam! Still no idea what to get Sister #2 or my mom.
