Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tonight I am going to a business party with the DH, as supportive smiling spouse. We hates these things, we do. Poor DH hates them too, and this company gives him LOTS of freelance work, so we gots to go.

Our wings are not tired.

Christmas decorating! And the usual working too hard. No movies because my DVR list is way too long.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Last night was the Christmas parade here, which I knew about but didn't expect to cut the whole city in half with the division being impassable. So I took the groceries I bought over to my folks' place and ate dinner and visited them for a couple of hours.

I'm assuming it's not the intent of religious-holiday parades to make people take the Lord's name in vain like 50 times during a 20 minute drive?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am...working this weekend. At 12:30AM Sunday morning. Yeah. Totally excited. You have no idea, really.

Aiee. Let me just finish up and get out of the office, okay? Lordie.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I am...working this weekend. At 12:30AM Sunday morning.

Oh, dear lord...

I want to cry just thinking about that.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Suzi, there shouldn't be an issue from a coverage standpoint, but I could see issues coming up with figuring out providers and billing and stuff.

9am isn't too early to schedule a meeting for, like, normal people, right?

Hahahaha! I tell my people if the start time is between 6 am and 7 pm they should make every effort. Outside of that, to decline if they're not critical.

Oh, I've definitely had occasional meetings that are crazy hours--but usually due to "it's a meeting with China/India/crazy timezone issues". And given who I am, I much prefer it at 11PM to 6AM. :)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I spent today shopping -- I went looking for somethign to wear to a holiday party and ended up with two tops, a skirt, a cashmere sweater, and some new shoes. Woops. Well, I can wear the skirt & one of the tops to my brother's party, I think. And the shoes.

And then I went to Cost Plus and spent a pile of money on gifts & stocking-stuffers. But at least I finally got a topper for my Christmas tree!

Tonight I am resting my feet and reading; tomorrow I visit with my folks then meet up with P-C and a fan from SPN fandom at the museum, and then on Sunday I go out for dinner & to see Iron & Wine with Perkins, JZ, and megan walker! So I am having a very Buffista weekend.

If I want cookies to be crispier, should I add more egg? Decrease the butter? Just bake the hell out of them?
