call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Hello everyone! Many apologies for my scarcity; we have had problems with our satellite on the ship and so being online has become quite a luxury! But I'm ashore today in Hilo, Hawaii, and taking advantage of free wifi!

Things have been going pretty well - we have a new cruise director on board who I'm not a huge fan of, but otherwise things are fine! We had karaoke in the crew bar last night and apparently no one knew I could sing, so I kind of felt like a rockstar for a little while. There was also almost a boy in my life, but he just got switched to a shift where I'm lucky if I see him in passing once a week, so that has come to a screeching halt. Oh well! Making lots of friends, which is nice.

I bought Christmas decorations today! I'm very excited to deck my cabin out. I am not even the slightest bit religious but I absolutely adore Christmas.

Aww! I am sitting in a Starbucks and a passenger from the ship just came up and told me that I do a great job. I have people shouting at me so many hours a day that I love hearing nice things once in a while!!

I hope everything here is going well for people! I wish I had time to catch up on everything I've missed on the board, but alas. I will definitely be buying myself a ship Internet card for Christmas, so I will potentially be around a bit more for a little while. Have a great day!

I keep telling Devi, that as now-eldest at *gasp* 14, she's not allowed to get sick. EVER.

....yeah. We'll see how that goes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There was also almost a boy in my life, but he just got switched to a shift where I'm lucky if I see him in passing once a week, so that has come to a screeching halt.

You're like two ships that...oh, never mind. MAKE IT WORK, LADY.

I just called my mother to update her on the never-ending work saga, and ended up by bumming her out about one of the markedly disturbed branches of our family. But she cheered herself by saying it all obviously meant I needed to get married.

She's never met the segue she couldn't strongarm, that woman.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My new favorite service vehicle.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

You're like two ships that...oh, never mind. MAKE IT WORK, LADY.

Ahahaha!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I keep telling Devi, that as now-eldest at *gasp* 14, she's not allowed to get sick. EVER.

I have definitely pointed this out to Homer recently.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I tried telling Perkins the cat that, and it's mostly worked, even to the point of surprising the vet.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

As Jeeves gets older, I remind him more frequently that he needs to stay well.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

"the problem is there's probably nothing that could possibly happen to this cat that would cost $6,000"

WHAT. Ha. That person has no idea.

Don't. You. Dare. One, you'd do it again. Two, I don't want to feel peer pressure to do the same. Ridiculous amounts. But worth it.

What Cass said. BRB, have to tell all the kitties they're not allowed to get sick.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I keep telling Kittenish that too. Though what I've told her most recently is that, "Oh, yes, you're a lady." because she's half on my lap purring, looked up and sneezed at me. Classy.
