I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Sorry to hear about MK, sara. I will miss postings of his doings.

Timelies, all. Finally caught up after being several days without the interwebs.

We (being my family and I) finished clearing out the last of the stuff from Mom's apartment that's being cleaned out (what's left will be going to charity by the church the owns the housing). I saw her knew place at the managed care facility, and while she insists she's still got unpacking to do, her room seems pretty well set up. I'm amazed at how much she managed to take with her and yet still not make the place feel crowded. The facility is really nice; probably the nicest place like that I've seen outside of privately care.

Hopefully she'll get into a routine once she's well settled in, but she seems really happy. I think she's mostly glad not to have to worry about us worrying about her, frankly. Other than what she brought with her, everything else has been dealt with in terms of who gets what and what gets gotten rid of, and she's being looked after when she needs to be so that our visits can be mainly social at this point.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

sarameg, I'm so sorry. My heart's just breaking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, Sara. I'm so glad you were there with him. And glad that Pumpkin conspired with your mother to come into your life, so you're not questioning "replacing" him. You're just having a full cat life.

Hil,

also? sometimes if your primary care physician sends a special note to the specialist, you can be seen sooner too.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry, sara! But still I'm glad it happened this way, with him purring and content at the end. Good-bye, Mister Kitty.
