This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Man, Consuela. That's just crazypants.

In my hood likes carrots news... people I've only barely talked to at the park with our dogs are not only loaning me a pickup truck to move my mattress and box spring, but they are going to help me do it. And my current neighbors are giving me shit every time they see me for "leaving them" (NB: I am moving exactly four blocks and will still live on the same street).

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I hope you get good snuggles. I am not above banning from rooms, myself.

It's strange to me that Charmed and Smallville had more seasons than Buffy.

Longevity has little to do with shows I love. Not even good shows. Some shows prosper, some fail.

Because books.

Ugh, Consuela. I hope you can find something you really enjoy, with people who appreciate you.

All kinds of peaceful thoughts for you and MK, sarameg.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't get wrongful fraud alerts on my credit card often, but it turns out: buying two computers at two stores? Will trigger Citi credit cards fraud department. On the up side, my father and sister now have laptops, and the household isn't out $1200.

I can't wait to set them up. I love that bit of buying computers for my family.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Thanks, Consuela. I'm really happy people are liking that story.

The DMCA notice is because another of a nother short story. I submitted it to a magazine, never heard back, submitted it elsewhere and sold it to a second magazine; then the first one contacted me, six months late, asking if they could run it. I said no. They ran it anyway. They're ignoring my emails telling me to take it down, and it's looking like I'm not going to get paid by the second magazine because of this. So I contacted their hosting company.

Distracted weird thoughts:

Old Navy sizing is ridiculous. New jeans are a 4. OK, I have no ass, but 4? And pj pants are XS. What do real XS people do? eta: I do have to keep switching my rings to the flipoff finger when doing anything handwavy. So there is some new shrinkage, even in hands. But FOUR? ON, you make me laugh.

Got back to 56s average on swim. I sucked rocks the first 4 miles back after a mere 4 days off. Was pulling minute laps. Uhg.

Yes.

Dude. Love this. Thanks!

Well that's just bullshit. Go go you with the DMCA!

Cass, the groupon deal is a better deal because it's a 4 to 1 match.

Kat, have you ever read a book called Ball Don't Lie?

Nope. It looks good though. I can definitely think of at least one kid who would like it.

My principal is trying to get my kids to participate in this anti-bullying program called My Life My Power. So I checked out the website and it's a trainwreck. BUT also fantastic for a minilesson on (1) parallel structure, (2) the power of editing and revising, and (3) the importance of ethos and establishing credibility. Check it out: [link] (I don't know if the video autoplays, so beware).

Oh, this is the being bullying we talked about. OK, wading in. (BTW, does autoplay.)
