I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Punishingly Intricate

sara, so sorry to hear about MK. Let me know if you need anything from a local. I so now how it is with the elderly pets.

I think I have my deadline: the position has to be announced before Christmas. If it's not, I'm out of here. Probably by the end of January.

That seems very sane to me. What a flipping frustrating situation.

My very frustrating gov't agency employee continues to be super irritating. He is seriously either very dense or a liar. He keeps denying saying things in meetings and being a roadblock for no reasons that I can understand. I have to be in face to face meetings with him tomorrow so I'm hoping that complaining about him here will help me be able to disconnect some emotionally and not glare him to death like I want to.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh sara, much love to you and MK.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dagnabbit! Someone just called to ask me to work at an event I wasn't planning on going to, because it's in honor of someone I'm not that impressed with. But of course, I have no good reason not to go, and it will be fine, and she suckered me into agreeing. Hmph.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Consuela, ugh, how frustrating. I missed that in The Great Skim.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Lots of ~ma for sara and MK!

ION, I am finally caught up....

Thanks, all.

How was your holiday, tommy?

It was OK. I was fighting off a cold. Had Thanksgiving dinner with my parents and brother at a restaurant on Thursday. Friday my sis and family arrived--sis and gf cooked thanksgiving dinner for us on Saturday. So that was nice. Also, it turns out both my sons are mathematical geniuses. (Both are in the top percentile, anyway.)

Also, I had a nice trip to Tuscaloosa the weekend before. Had a lot of fun at a Crimson Tide game and we watched lots of Doctor Who. After I left, Monica had a bad anxiety attack. When she suffers anxiety she needs to withdraw from people to some extent. So we're taking a break from each other for a while.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oh sarameg, thinking of you and MK. We are in a similar place here, but I am just settled to being with Burrell for as long as she's here.

Suela, your work pisses me off.
