I can't remember who it would have been, but once I was on the street with some fairly big little kid, maybe a five year old? Anyway, we got to the curb and I just stuck out my hand, and the kid just took it, and I kind of melted. Whatever kid that was. Good times.

I love cold pumpkin pie for breakfast, but all the pie is at my mom's, and we forget to bring some home.
Breakfast here was a jalapeño spinach omelet, courtesy of last nights creamed spinach with jalapeño peppers (the Laurie Colwin recipe). Nom nom nom. Perhaps tomorrow there will be turkey hash.
