To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't remember who it would have been, but once I was on the street with some fairly big little kid, maybe a five year old? Anyway, we got to the curb and I just stuck out my hand, and the kid just took it, and I kind of melted. Whatever kid that was. Good times.

Because books.

Is this actual maturity setting in?

I find it's usually exhaustion, with me.

I love cold pumpkin pie for breakfast, but all the pie is at my mom's, and we forget to bring some home.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Breakfast here was a jalapeño spinach omelet, courtesy of last nights creamed spinach with jalapeño peppers (the Laurie Colwin recipe). Nom nom nom. Perhaps tomorrow there will be turkey hash.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita, did you get the leftovers?

Polgara said she'll get them to me today. Thanks for the feeding!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Have no pie. Had no pie last night, either.(Had parve seven layer cake as dessert)

Later we will pack and head to Darkovercon.

Here, Jesse, try this. Maybe your cuppa tea.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

And to add to le nubian's link, if you go to mytomatoes.com and create an account, it's a simple online timer that also tracks what you've accomplished.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Gotta go in to work to be duty officer. Hopefully no calls; I'm wearing jeans (permissible, but I never do it). And, given there's no hot water, apparently not showering, either. Also: pie for breakfast, as nature intended.
