because people are crazy.

Also, often, stupid.

Today was a good day. Mostly because I got out of the office and went to see this place with a hot (although married) park ranger. And then I went to TJ's and spent too long finding a parking spot and too much on food and came home early, woot.

I have this fantasy about keeping my wedding at 100 or less. But, since I'm going destination in an attempt to rein my mother in, it might actually happen.

I just spent waaaay too much money on my hair, but considering this is the first time in at least 20 years when I left the salon thinking something other than, "Meh, it's all right." Tonight, I walked out of there thinking, "OMG, it's so frickin' CUTE!!"

Oh, I like that cut, Kathy! Very nice!

Good one, Typo! Had me giggling.

Thanks, Anne! My hair has always been wavy, but was never curly until I had my surgery. I've spent the past year trying to figure out what the hell to do with it. Allyson recommended getting someone trained in the Deva Curl styling method, and I found a (pricey) salon nearby. Between the cut and all the products I bought, I've spent beaucoup bucks on my hair, but as much as I was going cheap for so many years (Finesse, preferably on sale, and Borics for the cut), I figured it was time to indulge my tresses. And I love it!

Before now, it was always frizzy, but never really curly, even when I air-dried it. Now, with the appropriate gel and/or spray, it's curly, finally.

Super cute, Kathy! It's fun to see you splurging on yourself a bit.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Very nice, Kathy!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I seem to have just agreed to buy a house now.

Can I go throw up now?
