I'm trying to avoid my company's Christmas party, too, but Hubby wants to go. "It's a great feed! We can eat then slip out." It's not that great. And it says "best dress" on the invitation. My best dress is an Elizabethan gown that requires hoops for full effect. I'm not pulling that out in front of upper management.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I am going to meet the agent over there after work to see if I still like the place in the dark. If I do, I think I will probably ask him to make an offer.

Oh, how exciting, Perkins! I'm rather jealous. And y'all know that Nutty just closed on a condo, too.

Hee. The Buffistas, we're getting older, and having children, and buying houses, and and and...it's madness!

...imagine someday when we're all old and retired and have that to explain not coming up with the right word or forgetting what to post. And with all that time on our hands, we'll have even faster moving threads! Of course, by then we'll all have computer implanted in our eyes or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I *think* I'm sleeping better and taking less pain meds. But I'm not sure. If I do feel my ability to do my job is being compromised I'll pull back, stat. Because I had a period in there where it was going *really* well.

And I just left a message on a guy's machine suggesting he fix a rattling fixture lest I go on a violent rampage. Oh, oops?

I hate this peri-menapausal crap. Pain. Pain in new places.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Eeee! That's exciting, Perkins!

ita, I hope the meds settle soon. That sounds like all kinds of not fun.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

As a follow-up to my complaint about Matilda being a fusspot last week, it should in fairness be noted that it turned out she had a UTI. Which would make a lot of people cranky.

Amoxicillin to the rescue.

Oh hell yes. Hopefully the crankiness will be cured swiftly by antibiotics.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, poor Matilda! Ow.

Exciting, Perkins!!

But she's too demented to be rational on the subject and not demented enough not to know what's going on...

Ugh, I'm so sorry.
