wearing light colored sweaters with black bras.

Guilty. It was high school! And more semi-tightly crocheted sweaters. It wasn't trying to be hootchie. A lot of that fashion is coming back.

ION, Pumpkin can slither under the coffee table. For now.

I just realized that since Fedex delivered 2 new swimsuits today, I don't have to pack a wet suit. Man, I'm slow.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Would somebody please tell my nose that I'd really like to fucking breathe out of it? And the post-nasal drip is making me nauseous.

Sudafed, my Sudafed, why have you foresaken me? I'm a more deserving candidate of your wondrous properties than the meth cooker on the wrong side of town.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Afrin may help, if it's a question of swelling.

(Afrin likes carrots. And helps them breathe.)

Dana, the Afrin is in the 24-hour CVS, and I am on the couch wrapped up in a blanket cradling a box of tissues. Who has the magic wand to make it appear? I'm not fit to drive tonight.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Man, one of my favorite outfits in high school was black tights with jean shorts (not that short, but cutoff jeans nonetheless) and either a peasant-y pintucked and embroidered blousy shirt in green or a worn light blue oxford over a black tank. And boots. Chunky boots.

Our big thing in high school was thermal underwear bottoms worn under jean shorts. My mom would always ask me if I was aware that I was going out in public IN MY UNDERWEAR. (Yes, she asked the last 3 words in all caps.)

Booo. Sorry, can't help with that.

Yup, I remember that too.

Maria, really does sound like you have the bug going around. What is keeping me sane this week (week FIVE, but really, only 5 days were exhausting and awful and I really hope you don't have this version. I had the congestion for a week before I hit the wall, and got an ear infection, anti-bs, that went away. But the headcoldy part is clinging on) is 12 hour sudafed and 12 hour mucinex, together. It is staving off a sinus infection and keeping the drainage out of my lungs.

And DH is asleep, and I don't have the heart to wake him.

C'mon, if you wish hard enough it may come true. (Yeah, didn't work for me either.)

Sara, that's what the LPN at the clinic recommended too, but I hate that pill. Not because of the size, but because of the taste. I just took a 12-hour Sudafed at 8. I suppose I'll implement your suggestion tomorrow.

Because books.

Ugh, Maria. You don't need the ick at all.

Our big thing in high school was thermal underwear bottoms worn under jean shorts.

Ninth grade, it was all jeans, baseball-jersey style concert shirts with an unbuttoned flannel on top, and Timberland work boots, *untied*. Always untied.

It was a little like Early Dean Winchester, actually.
