Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Do you want to talk to him, Allyson?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

OMG, the burn book still has me entranced. It's just the bitchiest shit ever. I'm so sad I'm almost finished.

It ends?????

Oh, I just checked. I have three pages left. That's just not enough.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Do you want to talk to him, Allyson?

Not unless he tossed himself on a sword and admitted to being a jackass. Which has happened approximately never in an internet argument.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Ow. Did something to my neck, so turning my head hurts. I've put Ben-Gay on, and will take an Advil with dinner.

Which has happened approximately never in an internet argument.

Skip it then.

There's probably a flow chart out there somewhere... all arrows lead to "Skip it."

Oh, my god, I am so antsy right now. You'd think someone slipped some Compazine in my coffee; that's how it feels. Do not like. Maybe switch to decaf tomorrow if I'm like this again. It's definitely a Benadryl night, or there will be no sleep for me.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

He did, Allyson, and he's still a jackass. But someone else has your back:

Both socialization and institutional obstacles have kept women out of many fields historically. As the culture has changed, we’ve moved toward parity. Fifty years ago, people looked at the absence of female doctors, lawyers, presidents & prime ministers, and scientists, and said that it must be due to some inherent difference between men and women. They were wrong. And if you are saying that the underrepresentation of women on philosophy panels, or in rock bands, is due to some inherent difference between men and women, you are just as wrong. And with much less excuse.
