People are idiots. They do that on the reservation, too. There's a little safari themed bus you can take to go down and stare at the "natives" buying groceries at the Bashas. It really couldn't get more offensive.

Except it's hardly restricted to NO or the reservation. When we were in Granada we were offered the opportunity to take a tour of the hillside caves above the city, where the Roma live. "Just like Hobbit-holes," said the salesman. "Gypsies and Hobbits, just about the same anyway."
My niece and I were so horrified we didn't even react, just begged off and got out of there.

This week is not starting well. I am sick (I hab a code), I am menstruating, and I could not sleep last night. The amount I want to be at work is zero, but we have a big program next week, and then I am off for the theatre the week after that.
Also, I was so confused this morning because Martin Sheen emailed be about President Obama. Then I realized he must be part of some democratic association I signed up for, obviously Martin Sheen does not have my email.

I had a dream last night that I forgot to bring my laptop to work with me and so I had to waste half the morning waiting for SAP to be installed at the hotdesk PC.
Seriously, worst dream ever. Even while it was happening I was beating my subconscious with a stick for giving me such a fucking boring dream.
