Well, if we followed the recipe...should be cake. A demon-violence-free-zone cake.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My head hurts so badly that I'm crying. But...patching it up and going into the office, since last week was a major bust, and this week started out pretty crap, and I'm reasonably sure we have a project celebration cocktail party tonight (loved the project, really want to not do this).

Ugh...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm sorry, ita. Maybe they can give you a cocktail of painkillers?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh ita, I'm sorry. Do you have to stick around until the party?

And msbelle, glad it's a quiet day at the office. I'll be your twin in virtual manicures today.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Congrats Juliana and Martin!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hec, given that Juliana hasn't said anything outside of locked posts, I really don't think you had any right to say that here.

That being said, I also took the day off to go to a wedding.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I ordered slipcovers for two chairs that I love, but do not like the upholstery. And I am paying bills. Not exactly the shopping spree I want, but much more responsible. In a week and a half I will be back to credit card zero balance. ANd I paid off a year's worth of cell phone bills to the parents and made next month's mortgage.

I hope to be in a position (cash saved up to pay in full) in 2 months to get some work done on the house. Then maybe 2 more months and we can take a long-weekend fake vacation to see some familiy in IN. Then (not that I am a planner or anything) I can have saved enough to do an all cash Christmas.

Oh, hey, speaking of planning, would any Buffistas be interested in using my US Open Tix (2 seats for 9 sessions)for a NYC Labor Day weekend vaca? I cannot swing going up there this year no matter how badly I want to, but I want to keep my reserved tix. email me if you think you might want them or if you know someone who might and I will get you full info. Ticket costs for, I think, 9 sessions is about $1000.
