And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

Because books.

Ugh. Come on, mac. This doesn't have to be difficult.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Argh, that is infuriating, msbelle.

Hee, Abby, nice to see you!

So snow day: I put on Borghese Stellare Notte nail polish. Then I put Sinful Glass Pink over it. But it messed with the duochrome too much. Then I bought a clearance bottle of WetNWild Believe Me It's Real, so I put that on as an accent nail. But I didn't like it that way so I painted back over it with Stellare Notte. Then I wanted all of them fixed, so I put Stellare Notte back over everything. So now I have, like, eight coats of polish on. But it's lumpy because, eight coats, and also because my Seche Vite is all old and gloopy.

Should I take it all back off and start again? Or leave it for at least a day so someone other than me sees it at least?

This is my snow day conundrum. Also, if I should go ahead and make the panzanella caprese now even though it's not dinnertime and I'm making venison orzo for dinner.

I would bounce all this off the SO, but he's still allergy sleeping, which may be a problem tonight.

What a fascinating topic, I've never heard of them.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Damn. Olympia Snowe announced she's not seeking reelection.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"my GOP colleagues are KRAZY. I need to step."

information libertarian

Huh. The Republican Maine governor is being kind of an ass right now, so maybe there's a chance it could go to a D?

Signed, pretty sure Olympia Snowe was my representative when I was 8.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Damn. And huh.

I'm not gay, but sometimes there's a really appealing pair of breasts, and I have feelings. Jenny Shimizu has a pair of those breasts. And a lot of that attitude.

Exactly.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

msbelle--I have a friend going through this with her son....although he's 14. Drives her nuts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Get it together, mac! msbelle, after years of watching Intervention, I can say that drugs are only a short-term solution.

I would like to stay in a giraffe room! And wouldn't mind that half-and-half room, I don't think.

Leave the polish on for a bit, Liese, unless/until it makes you crazy?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can say that drugs are only a short-term solution.

But how long can short be?

I have fully tricked out my desk and confused my boss (the signed Castiel picture is no doing of mine, and it's going home never to be seen again, but it's both scaring and amusing me right now). First he needs to be sure Supernatural is a show (he then answered his own question), and then he wanted to know where Batman had gone. I showed him my desktop, and told him that one day I'd snap and decorate my cube like the batcave and come into work in full costume, never fear. His reaction was to wonder how my haranguing co-worker will handle me in a cape. I think everyone will enjoy it.

Speaking of wearing and enjoying, I'm in these today, in order to cheer me up, and to cheer up other people. Based on random feedback, mission accomplished.

I just checked with the co-worker, and now I 100% need to buy a cape. I have a capelet, but it's velvet and formal and not work appropriate. I need a proper cape, and I will wear that to work. It's totally not against the dress code.

::sigh:: I had to explain Douglas Adams to one coworker, and the Thunderdome to another. I don't know how I manage to work here, seriously.
