I had no idea the snarky, scruffy director of the musical on Smash was Norrington from Pirates! Didn't recognize him at all.
From the commercials I've seen, his hair makes me want to cry. I liked him better in Coupling. Hell, even in FlashForward.

Seriously. Before I got back into sitcoms, this was all I watched. And it really stands up almost impenetrably to repeated viewing.
