Didn't Billy Crystal used to play Sammy Davis Jr on SNL? Not that it makes last night any less offensive, in any case--I just seem to remember it.

Yeah, he played Sammy and Joe Piscipo played Frank Sinatra. I was trying to remember what his make-up was like then.

How much of the Oscar's audience would even know who Sammy Davis Jr. is? Heck, I only know he is/was an entertainer of some sort. I have no idea what he actually did. Maybe the Oscar's viewership skews older though.

I also hate the crap about how thin she is just as much as I would cringe over someone ragging on Melissa McCarthy's body. I don't think Jolie is about to be hospitalized for malnutrition any time soon.
