Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I can thank Meryl Streep's win and my decision to pick her at the last minute.

DH pooh-poohed me when I said she'd win because they LURVE her, but I was right! Poor Glenn Close, she's never won, has she?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think everyone should pick a day and work on their resumes while they still have jobs. Like, a few times a year. Update it with your major recent accomplishments. That way, when you need it, you only have to polish it up. It doesn't become a major source of stress when you already have other sources of stress, and you have access to information to pump it up, like your official job description (no idea where I'd find mine, though) or project descriptions.

I think it's an extremely good idea, but one I only partake of rarely.

I feel like crap again today, but I have at least two mandatory meetings. This job does *not* get the concept of sick days. And my body doesn't get the concept of healthy days.

I'm forced to update yearly for the sake of my merit review, but if I ever wanted to go on the market it would need a major rewrite. Ugh, totally feel for you Tom.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

We had to pull resumes together this past year at a new client's request, then suddenly our personnel bios on our website were good enough once we'd gone to all the trouble. Oh well, probably good to have one done more recently than 1991 in any event.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I just updated my resume too! But only because they are changing my title. Same job. But I work for the federal government, so now it's a goddamn THING. (Also, in this respect, I told someone Consuela's story of job-gone-wrong and he was horrified.)

There was a shooting at the school across from my parents' house. 4 injured.

All of the street level photos of the school have been from my parents' lawn. Weird.

hip deep in pie

That is very strange, and scary. Have they caught the shooter?

Oh Kat, how scary! 4 injured?!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, Kat!

Resume updating is the worst....I definitely agree you should do it as you go. By the end of a job, it's almost always nearly impossible for me to remember good stuff.
