I won one of my Oscar pools! I got 21 of 24 categories right, and I beat the 2nd place person by one. I can thank Meryl Streep's win and my decision to pick her at the last minute. I think I went with Viola Davis in my other pool.

I also stayed up until the bitter end, even though I knew better. Oh well, almost no one is at work today, maybe I will nap.

Also, I made Lemon Meringue pie last night and brought it to work this AM. There is no one else on my floor but me. (And one other person who hasn't been in his office all morning.) Sigh. I'll have to bring it down to the staff lounge downstairs. It's just as well, the meringue is all weepy. It does taste pretty awesome, if I have to say so myself.

Staggering around suffering from Coffee Conundrum.

I think Jesse's usually a First Responder so I'll just presume she's in a meeting, or busy taking a flat iron to her hair.

We were post-gaming the Oscars. My one coworker liked it! Especially Billy Crystal! I don't think we can be friends any more.

Can't get the coffee started without having coffee?

The last time I bought coffee beans, I tried the new Starbucks blond roast. To me, it's like liquid speedballs. If I finish my one cup in the morning, I am a jittery, anxious mess. It sort of helps with sleepiness, but mostly it makes me both wired and tired. I am not loving it.

I am awake! Shockingly, even before my friend! It's almost 9am here. But almost 7 to our bodies. I brushed my teeth and am now trying to decide if I have energy to make breakfast or just want to head straight to the pool.

...oh but I'll need sunscreen help, so breakfast it is.

I dressed lightly because it's a beautiful day outside, only to find that my windowless office is freezing cold! So now I'm shivering and clutching my coffee, trying to warm up.
