Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love the way you talk about your job, ita

I'm just so glad I have a job that it feels even vaguely constructive to talk about, because I'm learning shit and they're learning shit, and PROCESSING and glayvin.

Took twenty fucking years, but there you go.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't even have real insomnia issues! But I had trouble on both ends last night, unusually for me. (Both ends of the night, stop being so dirty.) So I feel like I shouldn't actually complain, but I am tired!

I'm just so glad I have a job that it feels even vaguely constructive to talk about, because I'm learning shit and they're learning shit, and PROCESSING and glayvin.

Yeah, that's fantastic.

Our wings are not tired.

Which brand did you get?

It is this one - [link] 12' sit on top. I love the small water tight storage cup next to the seat to keep your cell phone or whatever. The main storage areas are never even close to water proof.

On the other hand...OMG, how come people don't know how to use conference lines? I can hear your heavy breathing. It's all I can hear. We *all* hate your hold music. Always. Every time. We can also hear your screaming children. Typing. Beeps of incoming email. That's about all that's not really distracting.

Did I tell the story about the 30-person telecon I was on a few weeks ago, in which someone put the call on HOLD? We had ten minutes of John Philip Sousa before the meeting organizers gave up.

Luckily the company that hosts our calls has operators that are pretty snappy about disconnecting the person with the music. It saves about a call a month, when the person doesn't come back in a couple minutes acting all sheepish saying "Oh, was that the hold button?" YES AND WE HATESSS IT ALWAYSSSS.

My home phone was specifically chosen to have a mute button. Most phones have them these days, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Ooh, that's brilliant.

I was on a huge webinar the other day that somehow got patched into someone else's call. That was kind of awesome, in a terrible way. And it must have been that, since all lines were muted by the concall company, aside from the presenters, and it definitely wasn't them...

You know what opera term I hate- "Sitzprobe" [link] I am not so fond of "wandel-probe" either.
