The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Vortex, thank you.

When I was in college, I wore black leggings, black turtlenecks, and then an oversized men's blazer over the top. Which I guess is like wearing leggings as pants. I guess I wouldn't wear them without something covering my butt and crotch areas. But they used to be thicker than tights.

Hey, that was me in my senior year of high school! With additional black lace shawls tied around my hips.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Liese, thanks for sharing that MIT link!

You're welcome! I hope she does it!

MIT has a lot of classes on-line. You don't get credits for them, but the geek in me is all "Who the fuck CARES!! WOO!"

Yeah, but this is different. It's the pilot for their new MITx program. It's a regular class, with interaction with the teacher and the other students, online labs, all kinds of stuff. When it goes full, you'll need to go into a test center and everything to get the certificate (still not the same as the degree stuff, but much closer) and prove your id and all. For this one you don't have to. Starts March 5th.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Y'all, my parents gave me a Sodastream Penguin for my birthday. I just now unpacked it and tried it out and it is even cooler than I though. Yay!

now I'm emptying out my hot water heater to flush out the debris at the bottom. It's supposed to be done every year

Ooh, fun! I love my sodastream, but it's not as pretty as the Penguin!

ETA: Clearly the WRONG quote. :)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Meara-- that was the funniest wrong cut-and-paste ever!

Hah! Posting too fast and not noticing what happened! Better than a work email I guess!

MMm, hot water debris soda...it's the BEST.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hahahahah!

Yay Penguin! That's the one we have because we could not resist!

Although it is languishing on the counter at the moment because I need to exchange my carbonaters and I never remember to make that a part of my grocery budget.
