MIT has a lot of classes on-line. You don't get credits for them, but the geek in me is all "Who the fuck CARES!! WOO!"
I am going to go and exercise with a friend in a few. Wish me geting rid of my flat white-girl ass and getting killer guns!
Definitely send the love Vortex! Glad a couple of us can be there in person for her.
now I'm emptying out my hot water heater to flush out the debris at the bottom. It's supposed to be done every year
I, too, had no idea this was supposed to be done.
The home-maintenance question that's been bugging me is that you're supposed to periodically empty the dryer...tube? thing that vents air outside, because it gets lint in it and can start a fire. But my washer/dryer are stacked and in a closet--I can't get to it from there, and it vents out the third floor, so I can't reach it from outside. What do I do?

Le Nubian, K-Bug got a similar notice this month but when we looked it up, she was only at 65% with 3 days left on our billing period. First time we had gotten a notice like that.
I was full of work motivation this morning and kicked butt for a while, but I have hit the wall. Guess I'll take a break and see if I can rediscover that go get'em attitude.
My sister (half-sister, she's 25, not Nutty Vee!) just emailed me and a bunch of other family members to announce she and her (live-in) BF got engaged. For some reason the fact that the email reads CC: His Name is cracking me up like crazy.
I've never met the actual guy (though the fact that he is 41 gives me a little pause), but he moved to Seattle to be with her. The ring is nice!
There are long-handled dryer vent brushes. Usually if you clean the lint trap every load, not a lot of lint gets into the vent. (Right now, I need to clean out the outside vent on my dryer, because lint gets in the wire cover designed to keep the rats out. It's a three-minute job, if I would just walk out the door with a phillips screwdriver.)
