Swouncing

Skipping a bit more, because according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Jon B's birthday.

Happy birthday, Jon! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also, I'll use this opportunity to thank you for posting the daily pictures of the Adorable White Baby. He got the ultimate compliment from the DH, when he said, upon looking at some of his most-adorable-and-not-average-at-all pictures, that he reminded him of our very own PiBaby. Just so you'd know.

My nose will not stop running. So aggrevating.

I have been lazy parenting, which I know why and I do think I needed to turn off mah parent brain. The problem is that the attraction to just staying in lazy place is pretty strong.

Basically our pattern for the last few weeks is that once we are home we head to different living rooms and watch different electronic devices and say only a few sentences to each other until bedtime.

I have not been looking at or signing mac's homework book until the next morning, just as we are headed to school. Too late to address anything and way way too late to see if there was homework to address. I ask about homework, but don't check.

ugh, so of course there was stuff today that I should have seen on Friday and dealt with then. Must engage. Really must have sit down time every night. So sit down dinners and homework review every night is the new goal. Come home, 30 minutes of veg out time while I cook and then things get turned off for at least 1 hour. Pray for me.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

FML. We have an appraiser coming today to assess for a refi, and a chunk of the bedroom ceiling (which was admittedly already damp and leaky) came down after the snow/rain. Patching like the totally incompetent homeowners we are!!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've discovered by checking our homepage that my office is indeed closed today, but now I'm awake enough I can't go back to bed. Talk about a first world problem.

Happy Birthday JonB!

I am oddly alert and chipper this morning for having worked through the weekend. Maybe dreams about zombies attacking are extra-refreshing?

Amych - suck. I feel for you.

I so wish we were closed today, especially since mac's school is not and I would possibly spend the day clearing clutter. too bad.

Good news is, we are going out to lunch today to celebrate two birthdays, so YAY! Chinese food buffet.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Matt,

goodness. I had an anxiety dream/panic that I was the victim of a home invasion.

Let's say that I'm not feeling particularly refreshed.

Well, I successfully iced swum. Pool was a chilly 75. BRACING. And that made me really, really fast. Surprise.

I'm awake, I'm awake!

Perhaps it was the sense of accomplishment from killing zombies that made me all energized and happy? I think my subconcious was telling me "If that useless stick-figure Lori Grimes can off two of them after being knocked out in a car wreck, you'd have no trouble clearing out a whole houseful! "
