Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think the actual magnet is just in the cap and the polish has the other.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wouldn't magnetic nail polish cause problems if you were working with computers?

No more than iron filings would. It's not magnet nail polish. It's magnetic.

Also, if they were magnets, they'd have to be very strong magnets to mess with a computer, or even a credit card.

Hawaiian shirts came up in another thread. I have one, which I really like. It's pretty simple--it's a dark/orange red with large beige hibiscuses in a stencil-like pattern on it.

A few years ago (hell, a decade now), I was dressing for the evening with a guy with whom I shared an attraction, and I asked him what to wear. He said "that Hawaiian shirt with the cargo pants." I seem to recall going with the cargo pants but a tight T-shirt, but I did think it was a weird outfit for a 19 year old straight guy to ask a chick to wear.

I do remember, a couple years later, asking my father's opinion on what to wear, and he suggested the same outfit.

I totally get a father's motivation on that front, but it's always confused me that the only outfit I've ever had suggested to me to wear by a guy was that.

I can't wear the shirt without thinking of P, though.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Important Breaking News:

I have just consumed possibly the greatest crepe ever in the history of crepes, filled with crispy cinnamony butter-toasted slices of apple and drizzles of creamy but very tart yogurt and slathered on top with more butter and a drizzle of maple syrup. Hec is a crepe genius.

Everyone needs to come over here for brunch to experience the crepe genius in person (maybe not all at once, though).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I can't; the Bay Bridge is closed!

I'm pretty sure we will still have Bisquik, eggs, apples and butter after the bridge reopens.

That sounds delicious!

Do you want the TV equivalent of a beach read, meara, or just good television to catch up on?

A little of both. From what I've seen, Revenge looks interesting, but it's not on DVD is it?

What's "the middleman"? I think I've heard of most of the rest

Grr. I was supposed to call home this morning before the funeral. No one's answering, and I can't remember if the funeral was at noon, or at three. So I have failed.

Meara, are you looking to get DVDs, or downloads or iTunes purchases, or what?

Middleman was a short-lived superhero comedy/action show. It got pretty decent cult traction.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am a terrible, terrible person, watching last week's Downton Abbey and thinking, Oh thank goodness, Lavinia died! SO TERRIBLE.
