Toddson, I would be looking for another job. When you tell her you've sent something, can she see the emails then?

Our neighbors told us about their swim club and suggested we join this summer. I looked it up and there's a $1000 initiation fee and it's $475 a year. A family membership at the city pool that's nearer, though probably not as nice? $65. How do people afford this shit? I mean, we're well off, but $1475 to go to a pool for the summer?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Toddson, I was having that problem with my boss and manager. I got a terse email (probably the most terse I've gotten) telling me not to send mixed messages to the vendor, since she worked hours on her email to him--but I sent my email to him and her before she even started, plus I told her I had. I mean, I can see if she doesn't want me to do it, but she can't blame me for wasted work--it was in her inbox first.

And my boss keeps saying "That's not in the document." But he also keeps saying "I didn't like the document, so I didn't read it" and it makes me feel kind of awkward to walk him to the parts of the document that he insists don't exist. But it's not my document, and I feel like I must defend the author.

BevDog - did you send me an email? It looks like a spambot got in your account.

ION - FRIDAY!

rainy chilly friday here, but still FRIDAY! I just want to sleep.

I told the dog owner that we could not keep her forever, so she wants to start looking for a new permenant home for the dog. Sad, but mac is COMPLETELY over having a dog and does not want anything to do with the care and upkeep. I think it was good for us to sit her, because he now knows that a large dog is not what he wants, and definately not a large puppy. He HATES being jumped on.

OH! Also.

Happy to report that mac did fine getting to soccer practice last night and he took some of my suggestions to heart (even though on Tuesday he was screaming at me for making them). He showed a lot more effort and did not remove himself from the group as much. I gave him mad props.

Everyone should be able to borrow and test drive a dog! How's work, msbelle?

Steph, yes, Oakley. I am planning on being unemployed this summer, so we're looking at minimal camps, and cheap fun. Have you been to the Oakley pool?

work is good. There is stuff to do everyday and sometimes a rush of urgent stuff, but none of it thus far is mentally taxing. Lots of coordination of schedules and then getting things onto peoples' calendars and getting packets together before trips. Today my boss is interviewing 3 candidates for 3 different jobs and so I will be guiding candidates from office to office and back to reception a chunk of the day.

My boss travels every week, so I will always have travel to get booked and expense reports to do, and then credit card bills to reconcile. Those will be my constant background work.
