Anya: It's lovely! I wish it was mine! Oh like you weren't all thinking the same thing. Giles: I'm fairly certain I wasn't.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Heading to Boston tomorrow for Boskone. I'm even mostly packed.

The status is NOT quo.

The spookiest thing to me is that in Atwood's mythos, Gilead starts with an evangelical Christian being elected to President in 2012.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You know what's good for my rage? Reruns of Supernanny. She's ripping into an asshole father right now.

Because books.

Wow, I didn't remember that. (It's been almost twenty years since I read it.) That's ... terrifying.

Let's all move to Spain, huh? Live on the beach? Or something like that? Fiji would also be nice! They have internet, right?

The status is NOT quo.

Invoking the FPC, today has been unbelievably frustrating. Started the day sitting on the side of Mulholland waiting for AAA to put my spare tire on and have lost most of my day (and productivity) to dealing with it. Blah.

Thanks for sparking my nightmares!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I feel the need for some wingnuts I can laugh at without also cringing. And lo, they provide!

It’s very clear what side President Obama is on here in Wisconsin. Behind the stage where he will speak today are two flags: an American one, as usual, and right alongside it — and a flag for the local union, Wisconsin 1848.

This would be from Obama's visit to Masterlock yesterday. And the flag in question is the Wisconsin state flag. [link]

Unions get flags? I want a flag.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Dear women of Oklahoma,

California is quite nice almost year round, and we consider you to be people.

Love,

California
