Most definitely. I can't photoshop for shit.

DxO Film Pack might even be better than Color Efex, but stupidly, it doesn't come as a 64-bit plugin on the Mac. Silly of them to lose a sale just because they don't know how to set compiler flags.

My god, the in-camera filters! Do you ever use those?

Color Efex (and Silver Efex) can do all of them, and I have more control over them in post than in-camera.

Turns out I wanted Chinese food for lunch.

I am eating alone in the conference room and realize this balance of being able to eat alone, but know I could go visit with someone in their office is what I have been missing.

I am eating oatmeal for lunch alone in my office and I'm pretty okay with it. Well, alone for values of alone that include Seabiscuit.

My basic mode of teamwork with many of my colleagues is surface antagonism. I have a co-worker, same team, similar title, who's therefore not actually on many of my project teams, with whom I have a constant barrage of joking insults go back and forth--it's established that my boss and manager flip between staying out of the middle and keeping us separated. He basically has first dibs on talking trash about me.

There's another guy I sling shit with, a developer who's on, like, half my projects. Yesterday morning I get an email from him and another developer, informing me about some sort of issue that makes *no* sense to me, and it takes me some exchanges to work out it's not actually one of my projects, so freakout forestalled.

The way this developer and I work is that he constantly begs to not have anything to do with me or any of my projects, and always fights back when I ask him to do anything, and my angle is that I'm entirely responsible for any success he's ever had at the company (including before I joined), and that if it weren't for me, he'd never get anything done. To outsiders, it probably looks really weird and antagonistic.

Yesterday, when I asked why I was getting those emails he said "Why aren't you on all my projects? It would make things so much simpler." I've had an intense week so far, but that was one of the most touching things I've had anyone say to me, and I'll absolutely never remind him he said that.

I ordered drunken noodles from the Thai place down the street. They were delicious and I ate them way too fast.

Now I want Chinese food.

I also have to find a new hairdresser. Do not want. But I also want a better haircut.
