And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, that would be perfect! For whatever reason, I never had one in NYC.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Walking to CostCo would take away 37% of my frustration going there. Sadly, only some of that is their parking lot. Most of it is that it requires me to go through the Four Way Stop of UR DOING IT WRONG*ness. Worse, I have to turn left there.

* I want to stand there some day and handy out pamphlets. With diagrams. And frowny faces. The actual law too. Possibly with an essay on why trying to be nice instead of being legal is really dangerous. Why won't they do it right?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Maybe I need to buy a Granny cart! They sell them at Costco!

Lee, that's genius!

Forget about only Wednesday, how can it be that I've only been home 5 minutes, and my kids are already getting on my nerves?

Because books.

I don't really need a granny cart, because as soon as S. is home from work, we can do a big shopping, and most of the time my dad is around anyway. But I do see a lot of people using them.

The classic American small town with a main street filled with houses within walking or biking distance of stores is also outlawed.

What do you mean, outlawed? There are a million small towns like this on the East Coast, at least up here in the Northeast.

information libertarian

Ky kids usually start bickering in the car on the way home from after school.

Tonight we are doing All The Homework. So much homework.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Amy, I think he means that trying to turn suburbs into something more like towns is pretty much impossible due to zoning. I think.

Forget about only Wednesday, how can it be that I've only been home 5 minutes, and my kids are already getting on my nerves?

How is it that it's only 6:40 pm and I want to go to bed?

I like walking to Target because I'm limited to what I can carry. Keeps me from spending $100 every time I go.

Mostly.

Oh DH took care of pick up. Turns out homework supervision is on me. As is dinner. And finishing those cupcakes!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want to go to bed too! Of course, I am still at work, which makes it a little harder.

I'm going to meet this cat tonight [link]

His current name is stupid and he may look too much like Perkins, but he's cute and it sounds like he might be a good match for Dita.

What is even happening?

I think East Coast (particularly in the Northeast) suburbs are different than those in a lot of the country. They were always sort of self-sustaining towns and small cities.
