I have a grammar question. When should I capitalize, well, not names exactly, but references to people. I think I have it but I wanted to check.
Names, easy enough, always capitalize.
Could you get that for me, Jim?
Specific nicknames, the same as names, got that too.
Could you get that for me, Fuzzface?
Terms of endearment, non specific, so not capitalized. Right?
Could you get that for me, dear?
Non-specific nicknames also not capitalized. Right?
Could you get that for me, pipsqueak?
Non-specific references also not capitalized. Right?
Could you get that for me, young man?
Could you get that for me, girl?
