I've earned myself major points at work for going to costco on a regular basis and buying snacks, which the firm pays for.

Add that to the gas (I now live about 4 blocks from a Costco with a gas station), the Izze, the cat litter, and the new vacuum I am about to buy, and it is totally worth the membership

Costco:

  • Cheapest decent coffee beans
  • Cheap OTC drugs like ibuprofen
  • Good beef
  • Best return and warranty on electronics
  • Good prices on office supplies, if you can deal with the quantities
  • Least guilt-inducing politics and treatment of employees

I don't think we have Costco. We do have BJ's, though, which we've been meaning to join again.

Sara lost another tooth, almost entirely through determination. She wiggled that sucker for an hour this morning until it came out. Maybe she's low on cash.

And they are quite literally outside our bedroom window because our landlord hired the plumber to redo the vent on our gas water heater...which needs to be done and is good that it's being fixed but oh dear god too early on a Saturday.

Impressively, ND has fallen back asleep. I swear, I want that superpower.

I think the nearest Costco is a 40 minute drive, which would render any savings I'm likely to see on gas moot. If the put n the one they're talking about in the town next door I might consider it.
