"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

aurelia,

I would agree with Amy. If you are looking for something that you can speed through, I read the HG trilogy all in about 3-4 days.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I haven't read any of that list, and yeah, I probably do want to read before seeing the movies. I only have the first book, but I guess I'll go with Hunger Games.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

You can read the first book and then pause to acquire the second, but, for the sake of your mental health, have the third book on hand when you start the second.

ita, I've been emailing with a girl on OKCupid and she sounds pretty awesome on paper...but I went back to look at her profile again and realized I had somehow not noticed that she's only 5'1. I admit it's silly of me but I feel weird dating anyone who is more than a couple inches shorter or taller than me.

Thanks, DebetEsse. That's good to know.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lee, I love the house! Yay!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Lee, the house is wonderful!

And now I want Jilli to come down so I can have a croquet party.

I say we should arrange this.

SOMEONE MAKE ME THIS CROQUET SET. I need it. NEED.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

the problem with getting sick on the night shift here is that there's no one around to respond to your piteous cries of "Kill me. Kill me now."

hip deep in pie

Feel better Dana.

Since my coworker was picking me up this AM at the time I normally roll out of bed, I had a terrible sleep. The up side? I get to leave an hour early. I have been at work for almost an hour now. I may not make to the end of the day, even if it is an hour earlier.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor sick Dana!
