Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
That looks perfect, Tom. Have you ever used the D adapter? Or should I just stock to conventional for my Maglite? Actually, that's another thing to check up on. Flashlights. I still have my big Maglite for the living room, but I haven't seen the small bedroom one in a while. And I want one in every room. And the car.
Should I be shopping LED?
We should totally have an iPod made me do it thread. Like unedited, from way back when, but this time don't correct your mobile device. Some of this is jacked up.
For years I kept a text from the olden days when T9 was new, because it was so funny.
In cocktail news, the other night, I ordered a drink that had "root" among its listed ingredients. I didn't know what it meant, but it made me laugh. (And I now realize I was thinking it might be sugar cane, which of course is not root at all, but they list simple syrup as just "simple.") Turned out to be root beer flavor, which was delicious!
Ah, T9. I remember when I thought might be as good as it got, and I was basically okay with that.
Nurse is having a case worker call me, because apparently requiring more opiates. Uh, no, you keep trying to give me less. Whole different vibe. A vibe which I keep telling you is unhelpful, by the way.
I grabbed a couple mixology apps, and although I haven't spent much time in the recipes, I'm in love with this inefficient use of real estate used to inventory my liquor cabinet .
Who doesn't want to throw out "in cocktail news..." as a conversation starter? Clearly my life needs more cocktail parties.
In cocktail news, I finally figured out how to make a good Pisco Sour. Turns out it actually needs the simple syrup. Sugar dissolved in the lemon juice doesn't work, it isn't sweet enough.
A case worker? Ye to the fucking gads!! It's criminal the way they treat you, ita. They need to find a way to provide medication to you that doesn't involve the ER, so that you get the treatment you need, when you need it, without the added bullshit.
What's a good rum? I am rum ignorant, but I'd like to make a good rum drink, in other cocktail news.

Yes and YES.
See, you have cocktail news, Burrell!
But not fancy news. Just the equivalent of "I finally figured out that salads taste better with dressing on them."
Should I be shopping LED?
I would say yes. But really only because I think LED flashlights are cool, I have no data to back that up. OTOH, can't go wrong with a MagLite of appropriate size, either, and I don't know what bulbs they use these days. And I second the Eneloop suggestion, I've got them in everything that takes batteries except the smoke alarms because apparently rechargeable batteries aren't good enough for smoke alarms.
I have no cocktail news. I should do something about that. I bought beer, but that isn't the same.
Sorry the ER is being difficult, ita. This probably isn't a situation where having the invisible people be on your side is something you want to bring up, but of course we are.
Good lord. The Boston Police are restricting access to bars near the Garden and Fenway tonight -- no entrance after halftime, and if you go outside, "you will be directed to leave the area." Sorry, smokers! And extra cops on foot, especially by colleges.
