Because books.

Ben is not fifteen. Amy is a liar who lies.

He's so tall, though! And totally in high school. ::nods::

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

msbelle is wise. No shock there.

Ben is not fifteen. He is Glory. Right? No way he could be fifteen.

My fifteen year old is spending the snow day watching movies with a girl. A girl I haven't met yet (K-Bug has). I am SO not ready for this.

This weekend includes staying home Saturday, maybe venturing to the dojo depending on the snow levels. Sunday we are going over to a friends for the Super Bowl. Again, hopefully their neighborhood will be plowed by then. At least K-Bug's new car has 4-wheel drive.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

This weekend: Saturday-skating, work, going to a friend's birthday party. Sunday-skating, buying the rest of the supplies for THE NEW PUPPY ARRIVING NEXT WEEK, going to the movies with friends.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ION, TOM SCOLA FUCKING ROCKS! Like, seriously! Taking the class because it is something you like and enjoy!! FUCK YEAH! I remember when I would ask you point blank what was something that you liked and you COULD NOT GIVE ME AN ANSWER!

Tom, that's a shitload of stressful stuff, but I'm glad you've stuck to your boundaries w/r/t visiting your dad.

This is totally going to come off as schmoopy and I hope it doesn't come off as condescending, but I am so very proud of you, luv. So very proud. Doing something FOR YOU is such a huge thing that a lot of people struggle with - including me. I am so glad you are taking the class and doing for YOU. So many hugs, babe. Like a million much hugs.

What they all said, Tom.

Ben is not fifteen. Amy is a liar who lies.

Also, this.

People, Jake is twenty. God, I feel old.

THE NEW PUPPY ARRIVING NEXT WEEK

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Tom, going to the class is absolutely the right decision. I'm proud of you for doing it!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got a meeting invite from the head of HR for a lunch meeting next week. My manager doesn't know anything about it. I'm torn between thinking "they don't serve lunch at exit interviews" and assuming I got it in error. Any other way lies freakout.

"I'm beginning to realise you're a huge nerd."

Seriously, why would anyone say that to me? I'm obviously a huge nerd. If I spoiled Dexter for you and I don't watch Dexter, drink tea out of a Community mug, and still have my 2011 Supernatural calendar on display at my desk, YES. NERD. Seriously.

Then again, he hasn't seen all of The Princess Bride, so...as value judgments go...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay PUPPY!!

That's disconcerting, ita.

My weekend plans include drinks with a friend tonight, a shopping excursion tomorrow (mostly Target, also Home Goods, Home Depot in case there's a coffee table, also Old Navy and whatever else is there in case there's a blouse). I need a new blouse because I threw out my favorite lime green one, which was so dumb. The armpits were all discolored, but I want it to wear under a jacket! Bah.

Because books.

Well, they *don't* serve lunch at exit interviews, so maybe you're getting a promotion?

Punishingly Intricate

Bravo, sir. BRAVO!

THIS!!

This is the last unplanned up weekend we have for the next month at least. So, I'm hoping to take it a little easy. Do some yoga, read. And we're thinking of starting this 2 week fake cleanse diet thing with a couple of friends.

[link]

It seems like it will be easy enough and isn't super far from how we eat now. Anyway. Will need to take a break from it next Saturday when we are going out to dinner for my dad's bday. He's 70 this coming week. Crazy!

Oh and I will be worried all weekend that Uncle Bud will wake us up by peeing on the bed. Like he did this morning! OY! Cat! He's always a bit of a Pees where he shouldn't kind of cat but never on the freaking bed!
