That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was it a suit dress with matching jacket?

Yes! It is so darling. In an 80s sort of way. Bodice is cream, skirt is black. The shoulders of the jacket are the same cream, the sleeves and rest of the cropped jacket is black. My other suit dress, which a recruiter told me not to wear to interview (for this company, BTW), has a patterned bodice, plain beige skirt, and the long jacket is the same beige, and the lining is the bodice pattern. I think it's quite conservative, but, no, not a jacket and skirt or pants. I just--I have one I really like, but it's brown, and I don't have all-day comfortable brown appropriate shoes, and I think I look dumb in brown-toned hose.

Not so much the herpes itself as the thing that got you it.

Like getting born!

(Yes, I'm being deliberately obtuse--skip right on over me)
