Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yup, -t got it in one. Apparently he started writing it out, and decided that retyping it wasn't efficient, so he just walked a handwritten message to me instead.

I'm used to hand-drawn. Luckily his handwriting, well, it's kinda pretty actually.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The Parks and Rec dept has had to cancel all the winter activities because there's nothing.

Ours did too - there was supposed to be a Winter Jam in Prospect Park last weekend with sledding and hot chocolate and whatnot, and the Parks Dept canceled it not just because there was no snow, but because it was too warm to make fake snow!

Today I ran a ton of errands on my lunch hour and had my coat stashed in a bag over my shoulder. It was heaven, but I suspect we'll be paying for it in February.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It's been in the high 60s here the last two days. It's weird.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have daffodils and flowering quince in bloom, and I saw a Japanese magnolia ready to bloom a few days ago. I'm expecting there'll be stretch of 20-degree days this month to wipe out every spring flower.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's been in the high 60s here the last two days. It's weird.

Meanwhile, it's colder than usual in Alaska. Which to Sarah Palin means there's no global warming.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The cherry trees are in bloom in front of my office. Usually that doesn't happen until rather later in February.

Weird weather, y'all.

I have my windows open and a fan drawing air in. Probably only for another hour, but it's nice to air out the house.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I saw a bunch of Canada geese today, and I'm pretty sure we don't usually have them here this time of year -- not sure if they were going north or south!

information libertarian

Yeah, Ohio's had a Georgia-style winter. (I am grateful, at least as far as my gas bill is concerned.)

Because books.

There was a gorgeous fat red cardinal in a tree the other day. He apparently missed the memo about heading south.

Sara wanted to wear flip-flops today, but I only went as far as no coats.
