Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Aunt E's oldest was there with her, at the time. Apparently she slipped into a coma over the weekend and died this morning. Her grandchildren are organising themselves. I should be lying down, but I got caught up in the communicating instead.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm sure all politicians use songs at rallies that they haven't gotten clearance for, but it's the Republicans who are more likely to be at odds with the artists, no?

Always Anti-fascist!

so far, at least. Reagan didn't seem to know what "Born in The USA" was about, either.

Yeah.

Apparently if you go through ASCAP you can get the right to play the song at a rally (but not on a tv ad), without the artist even hearing about it. So some of these disputes are less legal than political: you could still have the right to play the song but if the original artist is bitching about you publicly, it seems unwise.

Speaking of politics: Dogs against Romney. Heh.

ita, I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Yesterday I went to IKEA (last week off before work) I bought a new tv stand, a bench with storage for the mud room and a small desk/table thing that will eventually go in the entry once termite damaged wall gets addressed. put the tv stand together last night and it works well. I am putting together the bench now.

I really want to get yard work done today too, but it is slow to warm up today.

Foolishly enough, I went back to that blog I was arguing on yesterday. And ... you know that phenomenon you sometimes hear reported, where a woman will say something and nobody will pay attention to it, and then a man will say the exact same thing and everyone goes, "Wow, how insightful!" ?

Yeah, that's happening to me over there.
