I had chicken pox in my early 20s it was horrible, I didn't have a ton of pox but the actual itching was just so bad. Mom finally called the doctor and they gave me a prescription for something.. i have no idea what it was, but it knocked me out and I pretty much slept through the rest of it. I can't imagine if I hadn't had the relief of sleeping.

I had chicken pox and mumps and whooping cough. I remember the polio vaccine sugar cubes, and I've got two TB scars on my left arm. A while ago a younger friend suddenly looked puzzled and looked at the left arms of several of us (warmer weather, you could see our arms). "Why do you all have round scars on your arms??"

I was of the chickenpox only generation. When I got the chicken pox it was very mild, but for some reason adults in my family had never had it. I gave it to my mom, my uncle and my 16 year old cousin, who were all very ill, especially my mother.

I had chicken pox when I was 19. One of my friends dropped off horror movies (Evil Dead!) and chocolate for me, and I spent a lot of time mildly hallucinating that the people on my posters were talking to me.

Oh, there are already steampunk-themed supplies at Michael's Crafts, Jo-Ann Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby. Plus Forever 21 keeps making vaguely-steampunk garments. I keep telling the steampeeps to embrace this fact, and stock up while they can.
