You know, I just... I woke up, and I looked in the mirror, and I thought, hey, what's with all the sin? I need to change. I'm... I'm dirty. I'm, I'm bad with the... sex and the envy and that, that loud music us kids listen to nowadays.

Art Crawl!!!

Hahaha.

I came home from work yesterday and fell asleep. Woke up after 10 and stayed up 'til 3. Got up about an hour ago and well, have done nothing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm also trying to buy a new coffee table, and apparently there is not a single one I like that I can go see in person before buying it. I kind of hate that. But maybe this one? [link]

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Dude, that is like real money for furniture.

I have decided to become a grownup? Unless I cave and get maybe this one from Target: [link] But I'm more worried about their stuff sight-unseen.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It has the eye catching gradients of cherry veneers!

It was the tobacco finish that really sold me.

Because books.

I like both, but I would probably go with the Target one. That has more to do with cats and kids, though, so YMMV.

hip deep in pie

I kind of like that coffee table. Macy's won't show me the price because it's not available to be shipped to Canada. OTOH, Macy's now ships to Canada!

Most of my recent furniture pieces have been bought 2nd hand online. I meant to go to an estate auction this AM looking for a nice runner for my hall and some side tables. But I slept in until 10, so no auction for me. I probably would have been tempted to bid on the Leica that was for sale anyway...that could have been dangerous to my debt reduction plans.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Morning, all.

Mmmm...Cumberbatch. I was talking a coworker who's been transferred to a different location today. It took a while to convince her to watch Sherlock, but she's been thoroughly Cumberbatched now.

DUDE. I just finished the last two eps last night and I'm all "WHY didn't I listen to the Buffistas earlier? I know better!"

I adore them. Cumbersnatch is hot like fire as Sherlock, but I am a slut for brainy, sarcastic guys. I love that he's not twelve, and he's very striking, but his face is too long, and he's interesting-looking. That's one thing I really like about British shows -- they will go for the good actor with some looks that would not land them Hollywood gigs generally.

Oh, and someone told me Cumberbatch is really a ginger, so I had to go look. Apparently, he doesn't like the darker hair because it makes him look too girlish? DUDE. SO not an issue, really. The darker hair is SO much better.

Yeah, before I dropped that much on a coffee table I would certainly be haunting Craigslist or local resale shops.

One thing you cannot get used? Bookcases.
