It's my dad's 80th birthday. My sis, gf and family are going to take my dad out to dinner tomorrow. Then my two brothers and I are going to show up at the restaurant and surprise him. Should be fun.

I just got my new rainboots, and they are great! I have never had rubber boots before. I'm not so sure about the sweater, but we'll see about that at home.

Collard greens should be properly made with a slab of fatback pork to stew them in, so I dunno how healthy they are. (Why, yes, my mama's family is Southern.)
I am working my ass off, getting my NEW TAT TONIGHT!!!! and having Indian with friends after, and then working, working, maybe watching a movie and giving myself a mani/pedi, working, and then a little work. And laundry and sweeping up pet hair.

When I had sore throats that would not go away but were not strep as a kid, my doctor recommended gargling with a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and mouthwash (specifically Lavoris for the strong flavor to mask the taste of the H2O2). I can't remember if it actually helped but it gave me something to do rather than just waiting. Anecdata for Hec's home treatment plan.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Saturday: skating, getting hair cut and colored, going to see JoCo and They Might be Giants! Sunday: skating, gardening, buying stuff for new puppy, maybe working.
Last year we joined the Instant fan Club for TMBG (75 bucks--a total deal), so our name is on the newest CD and we get special seats for the concert. Can't wait!
