Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hell, I've discovered recently several coworkers, who I've known almost 15 years, assumed I was married or otherwise partnered.

Yeah, that's funny. Partnered people assuming same, without other information?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Is Boehner tweeting?

Odd thing is what I do allow to filter through. Anyone paying attention knows about my parents and brother, SIL and nephews. Hey, that's vacations, there's no avoiding the field's connections and I'm rather really proud to tout their accomplishments to any damn one. They know about the cats, the house. But any local social life (or romantic life, lack thereof) they know very little about.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yay Spain!

At my work, I discovered that people thought I was ten years younger than am, partially because I am not partnered.

Punishingly Intricate

Spain!! And I'm all excited that my work is sending me to NY for a couple of days.

Sophia, I LOVE a big salad for lunch. That sucks that your cafeteria is failing at making them now. I go through periods where I'm really good about bringing them to work. To me they are just as easy, if not easier, to put together than a sandwich because you can do so much (boil a bunch of eggs, cut up a bunch of veggies, make salad dressing) ahead of time. But I need to get into a rhythm of putting them together.

Today was kind of from hell at work. Things are blowing up and I'm not sure my team could have done anything to prevent it but I have a feeling we'll be blamed for not preventing it. ugh

Oh yeah, when I was bringing salads to lunch, I'd make the week's worth at once, keeping the parts separate until day-of. Delish! I should do that more.

Uhg, lisah.

Salad is my go-to easy meal, but not prepped for lunch, just dinner. Toss greens (usually baby spinach but had to get a spring mix this weekend and I could probably do this more, but with extra spinach. I LOVE spinach) in bowl, slice apple/strawberry/ cherry tomatoes (whatever is in season,) slice a TJ's sausage or chunks of precooked chicken, microwave that, dress, toss.

OK, who the hell am I kidding? It is my primary meal. Pretty much only eat a different dinner if I run out of ingredients ( and then do an indian tv dinner) or have gotten a wild hair and cooked something that can be reheated. I've gotten so boring about meals, but at least it is super healthy and I genuinely like it?

I have everything in the fridge to do Big Salad right now! But am I going to prep it? Not so much. I'm sitting on the couch and wondering if Tabatha could Take Over my gov't agency client.

Also I made food tonight and have leftovers for tomorrow. Yummy chickpea stew thing.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Barney Frank! Wah. Sad to think of him retiring.

I would like to lose enough weight to be back to my pre-baby/post-diet size because I miss doing the yoga I could do when I had less problematic flesh in the way.

I went to 6AM yoga today and we actually did this pose: [link] So essentially I sat on the back of my arms before 7:00 AM. No wonder I am tired.

You know, I've got ridiculous bendy naturally, and my upper body strength is kinda awesome of late (if my lap times suck) but I'm pretty sure no way in hell I could do that.
